Alexis Lete, 24, of New Albany, Indiana almost won Miss USA 2020. She was the third runner-up of the 69th edition of the national pageant that chooses the United States’ representative to Miss Universe.
From 2015 to 2019, Lete attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., USA where she earned her degree in mass communication and media studies. On November 24, 2019, she was crowned Miss Indiana USA 2019, besting 11 other candidates.
Lete is a 6’0″ tall model signed with MMG Model. She is also a volleyball player.
It was Asya Branch, 22, of Booneville, Mississippi who won the Miss Universe 2020 crown while Kim Layne, 26, of Nampa, Idaho was her runner-up. Mariah Jane Davis, 24, of Norman, Oklahoma and Kelly Hutchinson, 23, of Auburn, Alabama were the respective second and fourth runners-up.
The Miss USA 2020 coronation night was broadcast on FYI. It featured a performance by “American Idol” Season 10 second runner-up Haley Reinhart, 30.
Branch inherited the crown from Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, 29. The latter and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators during the coronation night, which took place at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.
“American Ninja Warrior” commentator Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, 41, and Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LaForce, 31, hosted the coronation night. The judges were Miss USA 1999 Kimberly Pressler, 43, of New York, Miss USA 2000 Lynnette Cole, 42, of Tennessee, businesswoman and hairstylist Carolyn Aronson, 53, Fox Nation journalist and media personality Abby Hornacek, 26, motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur Gloria Mayfield Banks, 64, and businesswoman and social media personality Susan Yara, 39.
