Alexis Lete, 24, of New Albany, Indiana, United States almost won Miss USA 2020. She was the third runner-up of the 69th edition of the national pageant that chooses the Miss Universe representative of the country.
Asya Branch, 22, of Booneville, Mississippi, USA won the Miss USA 2020 title. Kim Layne, 26, of Nampa, Idaho, USA, Mariah Jane Davis, 24, of Norman, Oklahoma, USA and Kelly Hutchinson, 23, of Auburn, Alabama, USA were the respective first, second and fourth runners-up.
Alexis Lete
Lete was born in Louisville, Kentucky, USA to Zary Lete and Vicki Lete. Alexis graduated from New Albany High School in New Albany as a valedictorian.
From 2015 to 2019, Alexis attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., USA where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and media studies. On November 24, 2019, she was crowned Miss Indiana USA 2019, besting 11 other candidates.
Alexis is a 6’0″ tall model signed with MMG Model. She is also a volleyball player.
Miss USA 2020
Branch was crowned by Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, 29. The latter and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators during the coronation ceremony, which took place at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.
Hosted by “American Ninja Warrior” commentator Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, 41, and Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LaForce, 31, the Miss USA 2020 coronation ceremony was broadcast on FYI. The show featured a performance by “American Idol” Season 10 second runner-up Haley Reinhart, 30.
Miss USA 1999 Kimberly Pressler, 43, of New York and Miss USA 2000 Lynnette Cole, 42, of Tennessee were among the judges. They were joined by businesswoman and hairstylist Carolyn Aronson, 53, Fox Nation journalist and media personality Abby Hornacek, 26, motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur Gloria Mayfield Banks, 64, and businesswoman and social media personality Susan Yara, 39.
