Gabriela Tafur Náder is the reigning Miss Universe Colombia 2019. She was born in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia to Octavio Tafur and Olga Liliana Nader.
On November 12, 2018, Gabriela represented Valle del Cauca at Señorita Colombia 2018 and competed against 25 other candidates at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center in Cartagena, Colombia. She won the title.
Runner-up to Tafur was Laura Olascuaga of Bolivar. The second runner-up was Maria Alejandra Vengoechea of Atlantico.
Miss Universe Colombia 2020
On November 16, 2020, the next Miss Universe Colombia will be crowned at the Pabellion de Cristal in Barranquilla, Colombia. It is the inaugural edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Miss Universe candidate of the country.
There are 30 women competing for the Miss Universe Colombia 2020 title. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 13 candidates:

Valerie Domínguez, Sebastián Carvajal, Susy Mora and Diego Pascuas will host the Miss Universe Colombia 2020 coronation night, which will be aired live on RCN Television. Amalín de Hazbún, Natalia Barulich and Pilar Guzmán Lizarazo will join Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Señorita Colombia 1967 Luz Helena Restrepo as judges.
This is the first time the Miss Universe candidate of Colombia is from a standalone competition. From 1958 to 2019, the candidate was one of the winners of Señorita Colombia.
