
Marat Grigorian (Մարատ Գրիգորյան), 29, of Armenia was one of the winners at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Big Bang.” It was the Armenian-Belgian kickboxer’s first win in the striking-only league of the Singapore-based martial arts promotion.
Training out of Hemmers Gym in Breda, Netherlands, Grigorian solely represented Armenia at “ONE: Big Bang,” which took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on December 4, 2020. On the fight card were four MMA matches and three kickboxing contests.
In the main event of the evening, Grigorian fought Ivan Kondratev, 31, of Russia in a kickboxing contest in the featherweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.
Coste put a stop to the featherweight contest after 1 minute and 52 seconds in the second round. Grigorian knocked out Kondratev.
Grigorian is 1756 cm tall. Kondratev, who is 2 cm taller, trains out of Vityaz Fight Team in Russia.
Beating Kondratev at “ONE: Big Bang” improved the professional kickboxing record of Grigorian to 64 wins, 11 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, the Russian kickboxer now holds a professional Muay Thai and kickboxing record of 20 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw.
A total of 13 countries were represented at “ONE: Big Bang” namely Armenia, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, the U.S. and Vietnam. Kondratev solely represented Russia.
