Chad Ryan Nathan, 32, of Livingston, Essex County, New Jersey, United States attended Livingston High School in Livingston. He earned an associate degree from Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.
From May 2007 to September 2007, Nathan worked as a food runner, a room service attendant and a banquet server at The Strip House in Livingston. From September 2007 to July 2009, he was a server captain at Pizzeta Enoteca in Livingston.
From December 2007 to February 2008, Nathan was a line cook at Hilton of Parsippany in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Morris County, New Jersey. From August 2009 to May 2011, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, Bergen County, New Jersey where he earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management.
From May 2011 to May 2012, Nathan worked at Highgate Hotels in New York City, New York, USA as an assistant front officer manager. He was a rooms manager from May 2012 to September 2012, a front officer manager from September 2012 to September 2014, the director of operations from September 2014 to May 2015 and the director of rooms from May 2015 to December 2015.
From July 2017 to May 2018, Nathan was the area director of operations at Hotel Henri and Hotel Hayden, which are both in New York City. On May 21, 2018, he became the director of operations at Arlo Hotels in New York City.
On December 26, 2020, Nathan helped Miya Taylor Ponsetto attack African-American jazz musician Keyon Harrold Sr. and his son Keyon Harrold Jr. at the Arlo SoHo Boutique Hotel on 231 Hudson Street in New York City. Kat Rodriguez is Keyon Sr.’s wife and Keyon Jr,’s wife.
On December 30, 2020, Rodriguez talked about the incident during a rally. She said, “When the manager, Chad Nathan, asked my son for his phone, he empowered that woman to assault my son and is equally to blame.”
