Who is Rebecca Grossman?

For more than 20 years, Rebecca worked extensively in the healthcare field as a researcher, journalist and marketing executive. She made headlines after killing Egyptian-American brothers Mark Iskander and Jacob Iskander, who were born in 2009 and 2011, respectively, to Karim Iskander and Nancy Iskander.

On September 29, 2020, Rebecca drove her white Mercedes-Benz while she was intoxicated after she allegedly had lunch with her lover Scott Erickson. At around 7:10 p.m., she smashed her speeding car into Mark and Jacob, who were walking with their parents and two siblings Zackary Iskander and Violet Iskander at the intersection of Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive in Westlake Village, Los Angeles.

Mark was carried for more than 100 feet down the road on the hood of Rebecca’s car. When she hit the brakes, the boy rolled off into the street.

After running Mark over, Rebecca left the scene. He died at the scene while Jacob was rushed to the hospital, where he died a few hours after being hit by her car.

In the evening, Rebecca was arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide and her bail was set at $2 million. At 12:30 a.m. on October 1, 2020, she was out on bail.

On December 30, 2020, Rebecca was charged with two counts each of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death in a Los Angeles County Superior courtroom in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. She pleaded not guilty.

  1. Super fine write up of all Beckys accomplishments. Seems appropriate when you devote equal space to whitewashing the abhorrent acts of a ruthless murderer who committed an extreme act of cruelty.

  2. Toxicology reports rarely take more than a week to come to light especially in a murder investigation. The fact that the sheriff department says they are still awaiting the results pretty much says that if enough time goes by the outrage will dissipate and they’ll let her go. How sad that money still rules.

  3. How about including her past repeated DUI offenses in this list? What about when she sped through a red light in 2016, collided with another car, but because of her wealth was able to spin it into a lawsuit against the other driver, thus enhancing her wealth?
A rich person with millions to spare can easily throw money at charitable causes, thus receiving rewards and prestige which further enhances their own businesses and investments, and that is what this woman has done. These are not achievements, they are investments for self aggrandizement.
She has killed two children by choosing to commit the crime of drinking, driving, and speeding. That’s all the legacy anyone needs to know about her.

  4. Alcoholic Anonymous hasn’t called yet? With a doctor as a husband-she hasn’t learned even just a tiny lesson from him..? What a travesty, an irony! Only He can make heal the brokenhearted- to the Iskander family.
