Zamar Kirven of Mart, Texas, United States was recently arrested by McLennan County Sheriff’s Office deputies. He was charged with capital murder.

Kirven is accused of fatally shooting Sabion Kubitza, 22, and Jacob Ybarra, 20, at a residence on Texas Avenue in Mart on the morning of April 18, 2021. The suspect knew the two victims as they played high school football together, according to McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara.

“We’re not sure at this time,” Fox 44 News quoted McNamara as saying. “We really don’t know. They were all known to each other and Kirven had been a star linebacker for the University of Houston football team.”

Kubitza played high school football at Riesel, McLennan County, Texas. Like Kirven, Ybarra played high school football at Mart.

.

Born in Mart, Kirven attended Mart High School and the University of Houston. He played football in the university as a linebacker from 2018 to 2020.

When Kirven was a junior, he violated one of the rules of the university’s football team. Because of this, he was removed from the team, a source told the Houston Chronicle on December 7, 2020.
