Teresa Fletchinger

Born and raised in Houston, Arkansas, United States, Haley Rose Pontius, 24, was crowned Miss Arkansas USA 2020 on November 18, 2019 at The Fort Smith Convention Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. On May 23, 2021, she will go back to the same venue to crown her successor.

Pontius was unplaced in Miss USA 2020. Also representing Arkansas in Miss USA, Kelsey Dow finished in the Top 16 in 2012, Abby Floyd finished in the Top 10 in 2016 and Savannah Skidmore finished in the Top 5 in 2019.

The first and still the only Miss USA from Arkansas is Terri Utley. She also went on to become Miss Universe 1982 fourth runner-up.

A total of 22 women will compete for the Miss Arkansas USA 2021 title, which marks the 70th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Arkansas’s official Miss USA candidate. If facial beauty was the only criterion, these will be my Top 10:
