Cierra Jackson, 28, was a semifinalist both at Miss Georgia USA 2019 and Miss Georgia USA 2020. She was third runner-up to Miss District of Columbia USA 2019 Cordelia Cranshaw.

On January 19, 2020, as Miss Capital City USA 2020, Jackson competed against 19 other Miss District of Columbia USA 2020 at the Carpenter Theater in Richmond, Virginia, United States. She won the title.

On July 17, 2021, Jackson crowned her successor Sasha Perea at the Carpenter Theatre in Richmond. The latter will represent Washington, D.C., USA at Miss USA 2021.

On November 9, 2020, Jackson represented Washington, D.C. at Miss USA 2020 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Exhibition Center and the Soundstage of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. She finished in the Top 16.
