David “Dave” C. Mehaffie is a white man from Ohio, United States. His father James “Jim” E. Mehaffie served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for eight years and was the owner of the Mehaffie’s Pie Company.

For his participation in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, he was charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers and aiding and abetting; obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting; civil disorder; disorderly conduct in a U.S. Capitol building and act of physical violence in the U.S. Capitol grounds or buildings. On August 12, 2021, he was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Kettering. Represented by Jose Lopez, he made his initial court appearance in Southern District of Ohio and pleaded not guilty.(a)(b)
