Cecilia Maria Rossell Guerra was born in Copan Ruinas, Honduras. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and advertising from the Universidad de San Pedro Sula (USAP) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
On October 26, 2019, Rossell represented Copan at Miss Honduras Universo 2019 and competed against 22 other candidates at the Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort in Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras. She was third runner-up to Rosemary Natali Arauz Mejia of San Pedro.
Runner-up to Arauz was Alejandra Fuentes of Olancho. The second runner-up was Kennia Mondragon of Tegucigalpa and the respective fourth and fifth runners-up were Jenifer Figueroa of Puerto Cortes and Jasmin Oseguera of Colon.
On December 11, 2020, Rossell was appointed Miss Honduras Universo 2020. On August 28, 2021, she crowned her successor Rose Marian Melendez Lopez of Limon at the Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort in Roatán.
Currently, Honduras has one Miss Universe placement. Representing the country, Pastora Pagán Valenzuela finished in the Top 15 in 1955.
