Beatrice Luigi “Bea” Gallarde Gomez is a Filipino model, athlete and beauty queen. Her favorite sport is volleyball and she enjoys scuba diving, boxing and mixed martial arts.

Born in San Fernando, Cebu, Philippines, Gomez studied mass communication at the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City, Philippines. An athletic scholar, she was a member of the university’s varsity volleyball team.

Gomez’s first cousin Rizzini Alexis Camlian Gomez, who was crowned Miss Tourism International 2012 in Malaysia, died of lymphoma on October 13, 2015. Rizzini’s father Roel Gomez is a former Philippine Basketball Association player.

  11. On December 12, 2021, she represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She is the Philippines’ first ever openly bisexual Miss Universe candidate. She finished in the Top 5.
  12. On April 30, 2022, she crowned her successor Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
