Victoria Velasquez Vincent is a Kiwi architect and heritage conservationist who grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. She is fluent in English and Filipino.

Vincent was born in New Zealand to an Irish father and a Filipino mother. Her mother Josephine Martinez Velasquez Vincent is from Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines.

Victoria loves burgers, gelato and peppermint teas. Here are 13 more things about her:

  1. She is 5’9″ tall and 90 percent vegan.
  2. When she was a little girl, she and her family visited Bacoor. In 1999, she was kidnapped at a market in Molino, Bacoor but she was rescued.
  3. In 2016, she enrolled at the University of Auckland. When she earned her double master’s degrees in architecture and heritage conservation from the university on May 6, 2020, there was no graduation ceremony due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
  4. In September 2018, she visited Bali, Indonesia.
  5. In December 2018, she visited different tourist spots in the Philippines including Taal Volcano in Batangas, Boracay Island in Aklan, Dau Falls and Malapascua Island in Cebu and Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte.
  6. In January 2019, she stayed on Siargao Island and visited Coron, Palawan, Philippines before going back to Auckland.
  7. In July 2019, she visited Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
  8. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she spent the quarantine in Auckland. On December 18, 2020, she visited the Maraetai Beach in Auckland.
  9. She visited Mount Maunganui in Tauranga, New Zealand on January 4, 2021 and the Mercer Bay Loop Walk in Piha, New Zealand on January 11, 2021. On January 13, 2021, she went to Hamilton, New Zealand.
  10. She arrived from New Zealand to the Philippines on January 31, 2021. On February 14, 2021, she visited the Pintô Art Museum in Antipolo, Rizal. On February 17, 2021, she visited Bacoor.
  11. On March 5, 2021, she visited for the first time the market in Molino where she was kidnapped in 1999.
  12. On June 27, 2021, she took to Instagram to announce that she was accepting pre-orders of framed prints of photographs she took using either a Sony A7R3 or a DJI Mavic Pro 2 during her previous travels in New Zealand, the Philippines, Australia and Indonesia. She said 100 percent of the net proceeds would be donated to Filipino nongovernment organizations.
  13. She was 26 years old when represented Cavite at Miss Universe Philippines 2021 and competed against 27 other finalists at the Henann Resort Convention Center at the Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines on September 30, 2021. She finished third, earning her the Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021 title. She appeared in an “It’s Showtime” episode aired on October 11, 2021 with Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2021 Katrinan Dimaranan and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 runners-up Steffi Aberasturi and Maureen Wroblewitz. On October 12, 2021, she took to Instagram to reveal that shortly after the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 coronation night, she was offered to be Miss Universe New Zealand 2021, which she politely declined a week later.
