Who is the incumbent lieutenant governor of New Jersey?

Sheila Y. Oliver is the second and incumbent lieutenant governor of New Jersey. She assumed office on January 16, 2018.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Oliver graduated cum laude from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, USA with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1974. She earned her master’s degree in planning and administration from Columbia University in New York City, New York, USA in 1976 and her doctor of humane letters from Lincoln University on May 6, 2018.

Oliver was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly from the 34th district from January 13, 2004 to January 9, 2018. She was the speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly from January 12, 2010 to January 14, 2014.
