Mark “Mugen” Striegl, 33, of Baguio City, Philippines and Chas “The Scrapper” Skelly, 36, of Keller, Texas, United States have at least two things in common. They both hold a professional mixed martial arts record of 18 wins, 3 losses and 1 No Contest.
On November 5, 2021, Striegl took to Instagram and Facebook to share a poster of a fight between him and Skelly. The Texan MMA fighter posted the same poster on November 6, 2021.

According to the poster, the fight will be held on February 19, 2022. The UFC event scheduled that day is “UFC Fight Night 202,” which is also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 60.”
The UFC has yet to confirm the “UFC Fight Night 202” venue and the fight between Striegl and Skelly. According to the latter, he plans to announce his retirement after the fight.
The last 2021 UFC event is “UFC Fight Night 199,” also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 57.” It will take place at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada, USA on December 18, 2021.
Fighting professionally since 2009, Striegl competed in ONE Championship from 2015 to 2016. He became the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) Global Featherweight Champion and a 30th Southeast Asian Games sambo gold medalist before making his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 180” on October 17, 2020 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where he was knocked out by Said Nurmagomedov, 29, of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia.
Striegl was supposed to fight Johnny “Kid Kvenbo” Muñoz, 28, of Norco, California, USA at “UFC 261” at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, USA on April 24, 2021. The fighter from Baguio City was later replaced by Jamey “The Afro Samurai” Simmons, 29, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA and the bout between Muñoz and Simmons was added to the “UFC 265” card.
Like Striegl, Skelly also made his professional MMA debut in 2009. The fighter from Keller competed in Bellator MMA in 2009, 2010 and 2013 before joining the UFC in 2014.
Skelly’s UFC debut was also a loss, just like Striegl’s. On April 19, 2014, Skelly lost via majority decision to Mirsad Bektic, 30, of Lincoln, Nebraska, USA at “UFC on Fox 11” in Orlando, Florida.
The most recent fight of Skelly was at “UFC Fight Night 158” in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where he defeated Jordan “The Native Psycho” Griffin, 31, of Milwaukee via unanimous decision. Skelly was supposed to fight Michael “The Lone Wolf” Trizano, 29, of Ramsey, New Jersey, USA at “UFC Fight Night 194” at the UFC Apex in Enterprise on October 9, 2021 but the bout was cancelled for undisclosed reasons.
