Joseph Rosenbaum biography: 13 things about Waco, Texas man Kyle Rittenhouse shot

Joseph Donald “Jojo” Rosenbaum of Waco, Texas, United States was one of the men Kyle H. Rittenhouse shot on August 25, 2020. They were in the same Black Lives Matter demonstration in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA that day.

During the demonstration, Rittenhouse was one of the armed civilians who wanted to protect businesses from vandalism. Wearing a red shirt, Rosenbaum was one of the protesters demanding justice for Jacob Blakewho was shot by Kenosha Police Department officer Rusten Sheskey in the back at least eight times on August 23, 2020.

Former U.S. Marine Jason Lackowski also attended the demonstration. When he testified in court on November 5, 2021, he said he saw Rosenbaum asking “very bluntly to shoot him” and taking a few “false steppings,” enticing someone “to do something.”

Rittenhouse was carrying a Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle. Rosenbaum threw a plastic bag at Rittenshouse and tried to grab the rifle.

That was when Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum in the back, groin and left hand. The latter had a superficial wound to his left thigh and a graze wound to his forehead.

Moreover, Rosenbaum’s pelvis was fractured and his right lung and liver were perforated. Here are 13 more things about him:

  1. He was 5’3″ and his registered weight was 165 lbs.
  2. He went to McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona, USA.
  3. On December 16, 2002, he was convicted in Arizona and was sentenced to 12 and a half years for two counts of sexual conduct with a minor. He racked up 42 disciplinary infractions while serving his sentence at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Eyman in Florence, Arizona.
  4. He was found guilty of disobeying order in Arizona on August 6, 2003, on April 28, 2004, on August 8, 2005 and on April 10, 2009.
  5. In Arizona, he was found guilty of assault with weapon on January 22, 2007, possession or manufacture of weapon on May 15, 2008, tampering with security or safety development on April 10, 2009 and arson and possession of drugs or narcotics on October 23, 2009.
  6. In Arizona, he was found guilty of assault on staff on March 16, 2009, on April 10, 2009, on March 3, 2010 and on March 31, 2010 and of obstructing staff on August 17, 2010.
  7. From 2011 to 2014, he attended Pima Community College in Pima County, Arizona.
  8. On August 15, 2017, he was included in the Wisconsin sex offender registry. He was removed from the registry after his death.
  9. He has a daughter born in 2018.
  10. On August 27, 2019, he was engaged to Kariann Sue Swart.
  11. From Arizona, he moved to Kenosha in 2019. He started working at a Wendy’s restaurant in Kenosha on October 7, 2019.
  12. He had an open case for misdemeanor bail jumping, which was filed on July 30, 2020. The conditions of bond prohibited him from possessing or consuming alcohol and controlled substances without a prescription and from having contact with Swart including her residence, electronic or third party. While he was on medication for bipolar disorder and depression, he did not fill his prescriptions because the local pharmacy was boarded up as a result of the unrest on August 25, 2020, Swart said when she testified in court on November 5, 2021.
  13. He died at the age of 37. He was shot four times on August 25, 2020 by someone who was within four feet of him based on the autopsy report, Dr. Doug Kelley, a forensic pathologist with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, said during the murder trial of Rittenhouse on November 9, 2021.

    1. So do you for taking such an un-American position. Surely the guy was a PoS, but that’s a matter for POLICE, not some punk kid vigilante who took the law into his own hands.

BOTH of them were in the wrong.

      1. This gets to the heart of the matter. The armed men were there because the POLICE WERE NOT!

They were sitting about 200 yards away watching!!!!!

They were not doing their sworn duty so consequently citizens armed themselves to dissuade the rioters from burning or looting businesses. These mentally ill idiots actually confronted these armed people, which proves they are impaired in some way, either mentally and/or chemically.

If the leaders of Kenosha do their sworn duty, there are no armed citizens there and we are not having this discussion.

    2. Height and weight don’t matter when some one is running at you in a threatening way. Mr. Rosenbaum should have had better self control at this age. He was at least 50% at fault if not more.

      1. No 100% – Career criminal – bail jumper, sex offender, obvious and aggressive physically abusive individual who has no problem inflicting harm on others. He got what he deserved, he spent his whole adult life training to be the casualty he became. Good riddance, now the family does not have to worry about what other innocent life he was eventually going to ruin

      2. He was raised on a abusive home which included himself being molested and raped as a child causing mental illness, repeated these actions as a 19 year old in which his said illness worsened in prison. This type of mental illness arising from child abuse are common .

    3. Right, and I suppose next you’ll call yourself a Christian. Go to hell you skank along with the rest of the GOP. Trump is a rapist but you don’t mind that. Rittenhouse had no mercy for Jacob Blake. He was there to use his big gun. Rosenbaum threw a plastic bag at him. That kid is a murderer.

      1. Look at Rosenbaum’s history. He belonged in a jail or a mental asylum. You are leaving out key facts. Your comment on Trump is ridiculous. Actually Biden is the rapist. You have a one sided, biased, bigoted opinion. So Sad!

      2. Rittenhouse had no mercy for Jacob Blake?!?!

Rittenhouse had nothing to do with Jacob Blake (who is still alive), nor did he shoot him, you numbskull.

      3. “Trump is a rapist but you don’t mind that” Huh? I never that one but II did hear about Clinton, Biden, Weiner, Epstein, Weinstein, Spacey, Lolita Island, a Wash D.C. Italian fast-food restaurant, the Podestas etc etc etc. “Trump is a rapist but you don’t mind that” Huh? Rosenbaum anally and orally raped five young boys but you don’t mind that! He also racked up almost 30 violations in prison that included multiple assaults on prison staff, tampering with security devices, arson, possession of a dangerous weapon, disobeying orders, but you don’t mind that! Lol, I’m just throwing in the exclamation marks as a joke at your Zombie Apocalypse raving derangement. You’re one of the biggest stinking two-faced hypocrites on the face of the Earth. You’re all for rapists, rioters, looters and arsonists as long as they’re on your side. 36-year-old Rosenbaum chased a fleeing 17-year-old juvenile down the street because Rittenhouse had stopped him from using a dumpster that he had set on fire to blow up a gas station. He caught up with Rittenhouse and tried to grab his gun when he was shot. Anyway, screw your Demploracrat party Of The Damned and remember – you’re one of the biggest stinking two-faced hypocrites on the face of the Earth. Thank you, please drive through.

  1. It’s neither remarkable nor unavoidable. We have a justice system, flawed as it is, that doesn’t allow for anyone to run around shooting people and then defend their murder charges with “That guy deserved it he was a pedophile.” Pedo’s disgust me too, but Kyle was not placed in charge of being judge, jury, and executioner on any of Rosenbaum’s cases. It just doesn’t work that way kiddos.

    1. Self defense is a human right and grabbing anyones gun is grounds for such an action. If you don’t believe it grab mine and see what Halley’s. Tonight or hopefully by tomorrow the jury will return a not guilty on all counts verdict & the system will have worked. Then if the mob of idiots want to riot & burn things I say it should be open season, arrest every one possible & make them non voting felons and shoot the resistors. Every democrat vote removed is a piece of our country healed.

    2. Which is why his previous convictions were not made privy to the Jury as in at least the legal sense, he had paid his dues to society. Even if he assaulted a few others along the way there. The only thing they know is that he had been convicted before and only because of his own statements. The nature of those convictions were never made clear in the court room.

Rittenhouse did not “run around shooting people” to start with so the rest of the dialogue seems to be at best, out of place.

    3. Kyle never defended himself against the murder charges by stating that “That guy deserved it he was a pedophile.” And Kyle was attacked while fleeing from a very violent, suicidal, mentally unstable person who was attempting to take his gun away from him because Kyle intervened by stopping Rosenbaum from blowing up a gas station with a dumpster that he had set on fire. And, as a matter of fact, every able-bodied person in the US between 17 and 45 is automatically a part of at least one of two militia classes. The organized militia, being the National Guard and Naval militia and the unorganized militia, being everyone not part of the two organized militias. In fact, there is only way to get out of combat duty for the unorganized militia, if called up due to some large emergency, as far as I understand it : A person who claims exemption because of religious belief is exempt from militia duty in a combatant capacity, if the conscientious holding of that belief is established under such regulations as the President may prescribe. However, such a person is not exempt from militia duty that the President determines to be noncombatant. So, legally, Rittenhouse was performing his citizen’s duty by being on scene. It’s just too bad that there weren’t more like him and better trained and equipped to put a damper on everything before it went as bad as it did.

  2. Rosenbaum was NOT Jewish.

    We have enough problems.

He was part of the Short White Christian Unmarried Patriarchy,
he yelled N-gga when he attacked Rittenhouse…

So this is race driven after all!

  3. […] The first who was shot served 14 years in prison for raping a child and then for dozens of in-prison disciplinary violations. He was a registered sex offender and was found guilty of assault, arson and narcotics crimes. He was wanted at the time of the shooting for bail-jumping and domestic abuse, and had been released from a hospital for a suicide attempt a few hours before the shooting. He was chasing Rittenhouse when Rittenhouse turned around and shot him. […]
