Katharine Sara Walker is an Irish nurse, radio presenter and beauty queen. She represented Northern Ireland in Miss World and Ireland in Miss Universe.

Walker is Gareth Walker‘s younger sister. She lived in Royal Hillsborough, County Down, Northern Ireland with their parents Fred Walker and Wendy Walker.

Currently, Katharine is dating Melvyn Nicholls, a visual effects specialist in film and television. After meeting him, she gave up her dream to move to Australia.

1. In 2004, she nearly lost her two front teeth when she was hit by a hockey ball.
2. From 2013 to 2016, she went to Queen’s University Belfast in Belfast where she earned her bachelor’s degree in children’s nursing.

4. On May 28, 2018, she was one of the 21 candidates who competed for the Miss World Northern Ireland 2018 title in Belfast. She won the title.
5. On December 8, 2018, she represented Northern Ireland at Miss World 2018 and competed against 117 other candidates at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. She finished in the Top 30.
6. In March 2019, she started working for Cool FM as a radio presenter.
7. On December 21, 2020, she represented County Down at Miss Universe Ireland 2020 and competed against 11 other finalists in a virtual coronation ceremony. She finished in the Top 7.
8. On November 8, 2021, she was appointed Miss Universe Ireland 2021.
9. On December 12, 2021, she represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She was unplaced.
