Kyle Howard Rittenhouse, 18, of Antioch, Illinois, United States recently met Donald Trump Sr., 75, of New York, USA. The 45th U.S. president mentioned the meeting during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, 59, on November 23, 2021.
According to Trump, he was visited by Rittenhouse at the 45th U.S. president’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, USA. The teenager was accompanied by her mother Wendy Lewis Rittenhouse, 47.
“I got to know him a little bit,” Trump said of Kyle. “He called. He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan unlike the other guy.”
On August 25, 2020, Kyle shot Gaige Paul Grosskreutz, 27, of West Allis, Wisconsin, USA, Anthony Michael Huber, then 26, of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Joseph Donald Rosenbaum, then 37, of Waco, Texas, USA during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Kenosha. Grosskreutz survived while Huber and Rosenbaum died.
Kyle was charged with one count of first-degree reckless homicide, two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment. On November 19, 2021, he was found not guilty on all counts.
“He should never have been put through that,” Trump said of Kyle. “That was prosecutorial misconduct.”
In 1985, Trump bought Mar-a-Lago for $7 million. In 1994, he turned the estate into a private club.
According to financial disclosure forms Trump filed, the Mar-a-Lago Club had $29.7 million in gross revenues from June 2015 to May 2016. The club earned $25.1 million in 2017, $22 million in 2018 and $21.4 million in 2019.
Trump served as the U.S. president from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021. On January 13, 2021, he became the only federal officeholder in the U.S. to be impeached twice after the House of Representatives impeached him a second time for incitement of insurrection.
