Katharine Sara Walker is an Irish nurse, radio presenter and beauty queen. Here are 13 more things about her:


  1. She lives in Royal Hillsborough, County Down, Northern Ireland with her parents Fred Walker and Wendy Walker.
  2. She is Gareth Walker‘s younger sister.
  3. She loved playing hockey in school. In 2004, she nearly lost her two front teeth when she was hit by a hockey ball.
  4. She is 5’7″ tall.
  5. From 2013 to 2016, she went to Queen’s University Belfast in Belfast where she earned her bachelor’s degree in children’s nursing.
  6. In October 2016, she started working as a pediatric nurse in intensive care at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children in Belfast.
  7. On May 28, 2018, she was one of the 21 candidates who competed for the Miss World Northern Ireland 2018 title in Belfast. She won the title.
  8. On December 8, 2018, she represented Northern Ireland at Miss World 2018 and competed against 117 other candidates at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. She finished in the Top 30.
  9. In March 2019, she started working for Cool FM as a radio presenter.
  10. She was Miss Universe Down 2020.
  11. On December 21, 2020, she was one of the 12 finalists who competed for the Miss Universe Ireland 2020 title in a virtual coronation ceremony. She finished in the Top 7.
  12. On November 8, 2021, she was appointed as Miss Universe Ireland 2021.
  13. On December 12, 2021, she represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She was unplaced.
