On December 26, 2021, Richard allegedly used a white Dodge pickup to drive Abel to and from a Texaco gas station convenience store on Walnut Lane in Garland, Texas, United States. The teenager is accused of fatally shooting Rafael Garcia, 17, Ivan Noyala, 16, and Xavier Gonzalez, 14, inside the store that day.
Another victim, 15, was also shot and was taken to the hospital. The victim, who worked as a cook at the store, was expected to survive.

Garland Police Department public information officer Lieutenant Pedro Barineau explained that the court has authorized the release of Abel’s information because of the extenuating circumstances, the nature of the incident and the risk to the public. Somebody knows where the teenager is at, NBCDFW quoted Barineau as saying
“He’s not doing this on his own,” Barineau said of Abel. “He’s only 14.”
