Miss World 2021 results: List of top 40 candidates


The 70th Miss World was supposed to be crowned at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 16, 2021. On the same day, it was cancelled because of the number of candidates and staff members who tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A total of 98 candidates went to San Juan to compete for the Miss World 2021 crown. Before the original date of coronation, 15 candidates earned their spot in the quarterfinals by winning preliminary challenges.

  11. Bethania Borba (Paraguay)
  12. Tracy Maureen Perez (Philippines)
  13. Shudufadzo Musida (South Africa)
  14. Shree Saini (United States)
  15. Alejandra Conde (Venezuela)

Because the coronation ceremony was cancelled, all the 97 candidates excluding Aryam Diaz of Puerto Rico were sent back to their respective countries and territories after completing the required quarantine. On January 21, 2022, the list of 40 Miss World 2021 quarterfinalists was revealed.

Joining the 15 candidates who won preliminary challenges are 25 candidates chosen by the judges. Here is the list:

Joining Diaz of Puerto Rico, the 39 other Miss World 2021 quarterfinalists will go back to San Juan on March 12, 2022. The coronation night will be held at the Coca Cola Music Hall in San Juan on March 16, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

A Beauty with a Purpose special event will be held on March 17, 2022. The candidates will return to their respective countries and territories on March 18, 2022.
