Juliet, Tennessee, two THP troopers and Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officers Steve Carrick, Justin Pinkelton, Edin Plancic, Brian Murphy, Sean Williams and James Kidd spent about 30 minutes talking with him. He had a box cutter in his left hand while his right hand was in his pocket during most of the conversation, according to MNPD. All nine officers fired their weapons, killing him, when he made an abrupt motion and pulled his right hand out of his pocket while holding a silver shiny cylindrical object.
