  4. On November 4, 1995, he allegedly stabbed Santos Orellana during a bar fight. When he was arrested in Houston, Texas for aggravated assault that day, he was identified as Aguilar Maricide Albarenga from El Salvador. He was sentenced to deferred adjudication for five years.
  5. In 1996, he absconded from probation. Between this and the murder of Harris County Precinct 5 corporal Charles Galloway on January 23, 2022, he was wanted for murder in El Salvador and managed to hide from law enforcement.
  6. In 2001, he started living in Houston, Texas where he worked as a mechanic.

In the evening, he made his initial appearance in probable-cause court. His attorney asked for a $100,000 bond but the magistrate judge ordered him held without bond.
  11. He was 51 years old when he was arrested on January 26, 2022. He was charged with capital murder.
  12. On January 28, 2022, he made a second court appearance.
  13. His next appearance in court was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on February 23, 2022.
