“Aquaman” star Jason Momoa, 42, will join Vin Diesel, 54, Sung Kang, 49, Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, 44, Michelle Rodriguez, 43, and Tyrese Gibson, 43, in the cast of “Fast and Furious 10.” The 10th installment of the “Fast & Furious” will be released in two parts.
There are still no official details about Momoa’s role in “Fast & Furious 10” but he is reportedly playing the villain. The film’s first part will be released in 2023 followed by its direct sequel in 2024.
Chris Morgan, 51, will write the screenplay of “Fast & Furious 10,” which will be directed by Justin Lin, 50. Diesel will be back as Dominic “Dom” Toretto along with Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Gibson as Roman Pearce, Ludacris as Tej Parker and Kang as Han Lue.
“Game of Thrones” alum Nathalie Emmanuel, 32, will also star in “Fast & Furious 10.” She will reprise her role as Megan Ramsey.
Before the release of “Fast & Furious 10,” Momoa will star in at least two films in 2022. He will play Big Jim in “The Last Manhunt” and reprise his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
Momoa first played Aquaman in the 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” He reprised the role in “Justice League” in 2017, “Aquaman” in 2018 and “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” in 2019.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, 79 and directed by James Wan, 44. Joining Momoa in the cast are Dolph Lundgren, 64, as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman, 54, as Atlanna, Patrick Wilson, 48, as Orm Marius, Amber Heard, 35, as Mera and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, 35, as David Kane / Black Manta.
