Asa Bisquera Miller, 21, is the sole representative of the Philippines at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Hosted by Beijing, China, the international winter multisport event will be held from February 4-20, 2022.

Miller is a citizen of both the United States and the Philippines. He was born in Portland, Oregon, USA to his American father Kelly Miller and his Filipino mother Polly Bisquera.

Asa was part of the Mt. Hood Meadows, a race team based in Portland. An alumnus of Lincoln High School in Portland, he is currently attending Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

At the 2022 Winter Olympics, Asa will compete in alpine skiing. This marks the third consecutive appearance of the Philippines in the Winter Olympics.

In July 2015, Beijing was elected as the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics at the 128th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This marks the first time the Winter Olympics is held in China.

Including Asa, a total of 2,871 athletes from 91 countries and territories will compete in 109 events in seven sports. The events will be held not only in Beijing but also in other parts of China including Yanqing and Chongli.

Asa is 5’8″ tall. Representing the Philippines, he finished 70th in giant slalom at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
