Sharron Eugene Gadlin is a black man from California, United States. Here are 10 more things about him:

  1. He lives in Gardena, Los Angeles County, California.
  2. Aside from Gardena, he has lived in other parts of California including Carson, Compton, Hawthorne, Lynwood, San Pedro and Thousand Palms.
  3. He previously lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA.
  4. He has lived in different parts of Georgia, USA including Waco and Warner Robins.
  5. On April 24, 1994, he allegedly broke into the apartment of Cheri-Lynn Friedman Huss in Desert Hot Springs, Riverside County, California, bit her and fatally stabbed her. She allegedly fought him off and he left blood in the crime scene. At the time, he was a resident of Thousand Palms, which is around 12 miles from the crime scene. Forensic testing confirmed that the blood is from a male and it matched the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of saliva left behind in the victim’s bite marks.
  6. In 1999, he was found guilty of entering property without consistent and public intoxication in Riverside County and convicted of driving under the influence in San Bernardino County, California. 
  7. On February 14, 2022, forensic genetic genealogy led the Riverside County Regional Cold Case Team to develop him as a person of interest in the case involving Huss’s murder. That day, investigators obtained a saliva sample from him after receiving a warrant to do so. 
  8. On February 18, 2022, investigators received confirmation from the California Department of Justice crime laboratory that his saliva matched the DNA profile of the man who killed Huss on April 24, 1994.
  9. On March 4, 2022, officers pulled over his car at the intersection of West 135th Street and Western Avenue in Gardena and arrested him. He was charged with murder and using a weapon during a felony and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, California. His bail was set at $1 million. 
  10. He was 48 years old when he was arrested on March 4, 2022. On March 8, 2022, he was arraigned on charges of murdering Huss at the Hall of Justice in Riverside.
