Winnipeg, Canada’s Brad Katona in Isa Town, Bahrain to fight for BRAVE CF bantamweight belt

Brad “Superman” Katona, 30, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is currently in Bahrain. He is set to fight Hamza “The Pride of Bahrain” Kooheji, 29, of Manama, Bahrain at “BRAVE CF 57“, the first BRAVE Combat Federation event in 2022.

“Bahrain’s nothing but hospitable to me so I’m thankful,” Katona said during the “BRAVE CF 57” kick-off press conference at the Oasis Mall Juffair in Manama on March 9, 2022. “I am actually excited to be here again for another fight against a hometown hero. It feels good.”

Katona was asked if he felt perturbed with the task at hand. He said, “Did you say I was trembling in fear? I don’t think I’m trembling in fear.”

“I feel pretty comfortable,” Katona continued. “I honestly feel great. I made a career out of this. It has hardened me as a fighter. I haven’t had the hometown advantage my entire career so I am used to this.”

Featuring 12 professional mixed martial arts bouts and one amateur MMA fight, the “BRAVE CF 57” fight night will be held at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on March 11, 2022. In the main event of the evening, Katona and Kooheji will compete for the vacant BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Championship.
