Also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 62”, “UFC Fight Night 204” featured 11 MMA bouts held at The O2 Arena in London, England on March 19, 2022. In the ninth bout of the evening, Pimblett fought Rodrigo “Kazula” Vargas, 36, of Mexico City, Mexico in the lightweight division.
The lightweight contest ended after 3 minutes and 50 seconds in the first round. Pimblett submitted Vargas via rear-naked choke.
Pimblett was paid $12,000 for fighting and another $12,000 for winning. He also received a $50,000 bonus as one of the nine Performance of the Night winners.

Born and raised in Huyton, Pimblett started his MMA training in 2010. On October 16, 2012, he made his professional MMA debut in the Olympian MMA Championships event “OMMAC 15: Legacy” in Liverpool where he knocked out Nathan Thompson.
On March 29, 2021, Pimblett signed with the UFC. On September 4, 2021, he made his promotional debut at “UFC Vegas 36” in Enterprise, Nevada, United States where he knocked out Luigi Vendramini.
