Miss Grand Japan 2021 Chika Mizuno, 26, of Tokyo, Japan will crown her successor at the Yokosuka Arts Theater in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan on August 6, 2022. It is the eighth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Japan’s Miss Grand International candidate.
Currently, Japan has five Miss Grand International placements including the fourth runner-up finish of Haruka Oda in 2018. The most recent one was in 2020 when Ruri Saji finished in the Top 21.

Mizuno was crowned Miss Grand Japan on October 21, 2021. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Rika Kinoshita of Hyogo, Yumiko Nishimori of Tokyo, Yuka Sano of Kyoto and Fumika Kiryu of Tokyo.
