Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 26, of Cebu City, Philippines will crown her successor at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 30, 2022. It is the third edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Philippines’ official Miss Universe candidate.

Currently, the Philippines has four Miss Universe crowns. These were won by Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.

Gomez was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 on September 30, 2021 at the Henann Resort Convention Center of Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. Representing the Philippines, she competed against 79 other candidates at Miss Universe 2021 at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel on December 13, 2021 and finished in the Top 5.

From 50 quarterfinalists, 31 were chosen to join the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night and one more spot was given to Shawntel Michole Cruz, 25, of Benguet as the Kumunity’s Choice. She was not one of the 50 quarterfinalists.

But right before the coronation night, Cruz withdrew from the competition due to illness. Here is the list of the Top 31 Miss Universe Philippines 2022 candidates:
