Batanes is one of the five provinces of the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines. The province has six municipalities namely Basco, Itbayat, Ivana, Mahatao, Sabtang and Uyugan.
Born in Itbayat, Marilou Horlina Cayco has been the governor of Batanes since June 30, 2016. She turned 61 on November 22, 2021.
