Navotas, Metro Manila, Philippines has the third largest fish port in Asia. The city is home to Restituto B. Tiangco and Erlinda B. Marcelo Tiangco and their sons Tobias Reynald “Toby” Marcelo Tiangco and John Reynald Marcelo Tiangco.

Toby was the mayor of Navotas from 1998 to 1999, from 2000 to 2010 and from 2019 to 2022 and the vice mayor of the city from 1999 to 2000. John was the mayor of the city from 2010 to 2019 and the congressman of the city from 2019 to 2022.

On August 4, 2017, Jannie Loudette Alipo-on represented Navotas at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017 and competed against 29 other candidates at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila. She ranked second and was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2017.

On September 16, 2018, Kristine Micah Malicsi represented Navotas at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 and competed against 49 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She ranked seventh and was named the second runner-up.
