Nueva Ecija has five component cities namely Cabanatuan, Gapan, Muñoz, Palayan and San Jose. The province also has 27 municipalities namely Aliaga, Bongabon, Cabiao, Carranglan, Cuyapo, Gabaldon, General Mamerto Natividad, General Tinio, Guimba, Jaen, Laur, Licab, Llanera, Lupao, Nampicuan, Pantabangan, Peñaranda, Quezon, Rizal, San Antonio, San Isidro, San Leonardo, Santa Rosa, Santo Domingo, Talavera, Talugtug and Zaragoza.

On September 15, 2019, Shannon Christie Kerver represented Cabiao at Miss World Philippines 2019 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She ranked seventh and was named the first princess.

Representing Nueva Ecija, Maica Cabling Martinez was selected as one of the 50 Miss Universe Philippines 2021 semifinalists on August 8, 2021. She was not selected as one of the 30 finalists on August 31, 2021.
