Sara Zimmerman Duterte was born at Davao Doctors Hospital in Davao City, Philippines to Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Elizabeth Abellana Zimmerman Duterte. Rodrigo is Filipino and Elizabeth is of German descent.
Sara served as the vice mayor of Davao City from June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2010 and the mayor of the city from June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2022. Her father served as the vice mayor of the city from June 30, 2010 to June 30, 2013 and the mayor of the city from February 2, 1988 to March 19, 1998, from June 30, 2001 to June 30, 2010 and from June 30, 2013 to June 30, 2016.
Born in Maasin, Leyte, Philippines, Rodrigo turned 77 on March 28, 2022. He has been serving as the 16th president of the country since June 30, 2016.
Born in Davao City, Elizabeth turned 74 on April 14, 2022. Her great-grandfather Michael August Zimmerman was born in Unterlangau, Oberviechtach, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany.
On May 31, 2022, Sara will turn 44. On June 30, 2022, she will assume as the 15th vice president of the Philippines.
Including Sara, nine candidates competed for the position. She received more than 31 million votes and won.
In second place is Francis Pancratius “Kiko” Nepomuceno Pangilinan with more than 9 million votes. In third place is Vicente “Tito” Castelo Sotto III with more than 8 million votes.
Both Pangilinan and Sotto were born in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines. On August 24, 2021, the former turned 58 and the latter turned 73.
