Davao del Norte, Philippines has three component cities namely Panabo, Samal and Tagum and eight municipalities namely Asuncion, Braulio E. Dujali, Carmen, Kapalong, New Corelia, Sawata, Santo Tomas and Talaingod. The province has a total of 223 barangays, 23 of which are in Tagum, the capital of the province.

Founded on May 8, 1967, Davao del Norte is one of the five provinces in the Davao Region. The others are Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental.
