2022 Davao Oriental congressmen, governor, vice governor, board members elected
Davao Oriental is one of the five provinces in the Davao Region of the Philippines. The others are Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental.
Mati is the only component city of Davao Oriental, which has a total of 183 barangays. The province has 10 municipalities namely Baganga, Banaybanay, Boston, Caraga, Cateel, Governor Generoso, Lupon, Manay, San Isidro and Tarragona.
Born in Manay, Nelson “Boy” Lechoncito Dayanghirang served as the congressman of the first district of Davao Oriental from June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2016. He assumed office as the governor of the province on June 30, 2016.
Dayanghirang turned 56 on January 24, 2022. He will assume office again as the congressman of the first district of Davao Oriental on June 30, 2022.
