2022 Ilocos Sur congressman, governor, vice governor, board members elected
Ilocos Sur, Philippines has two component cities namely Candon and Vigan. The province also has 32 municipalities.
Jeremias “Jerry” Crisologo Singson was born in Vigan to Jose Sebastian Singson and Caridad Singson Crisologo. Jerry has seven siblings namely Evaristo “Titong” Singson, Luis “Chavit” Singson, Bernardo “Dodie” Singson, Fernando “Dodoy” Singson, Ma. Livia “Honey Girl” Singson, Germelina “Germie” Singson and Jose “Bonito” Singson Jr.
Jerry has been the vice governor of Ilocos Sur since June 30, 2016. He held the same position from June 30, 2001 to June 30, 2004 and from June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2010.
On September 15, 2019, Sammie Anne Legaspi represented Ilocos Sur at Miss World Philippines 2019 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was unplaced.
On April 30, 2022, Jewel Alexandria Palacat represented Ilocos Sur at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 and competed against 30 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. She finished in the Top 16 and won the Miss Congeniality award.
