2022 Tarlac congressmen, governor, vice governor, board members elected
Tarlac is one of the seven provinces of the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. The others are Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.
Carlos “Charlie” Oppen Cojuangco assumed office as the congressman of the first district of Tarlac on June 30, 2016. He was running for third consecutive term when he suffered from a brain aneurysm on October 26, 2021 and died on February 22, 2022.
Cojuangco’s name was on the Commission on Elections’ official ballot and the ballots were printed before his death. His votes were credited to his substitute, his son Jaime Eduardo Marc Diaz Cojuangco.
Tarlac City is the capital of Tarlac and the only component city of the province. The province has 17 municipalities namely Anao, Bamban, Camiling, Capas, Concepcion, Gerona, La Paz, Mayantoc, Moncada, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Clemente, San Jose, San Manuel ,Santa Ignacia and Victoria.
On August 8, 2021, Frincess Dannug represented Victoria at Miss Philippines Earth 2021 and competed against 65 other candidates in a virtual coronation ceremony. She was unplaced.
