Shani Warren
Shani Warren of Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom was 26 when she died on April 18, 1987.
Warren is Stephen Warren‘s sister. Their parents Joseph Warren and Elsie Warren live in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.
Joseph and Elsie bought a house in Neville Close, Stoke Poges from Shani. While working as a personal assistant at a company called Micro Scope, Shani shared the house with two housemates.
On April 16, 1987, Shani and her former boyfriend Roger Pell met for dinner. That night, a waiter addressed the latter as Sir Roger.
On the morning of April 17, 1987, Shani called in at her parents to borrow an extension lead so she could use it to cut her lawn with a lawnmower. She later cut the grass of her garden in Neville Close and at around 6:00 pm, she was seen loading bags of the grass cutting into her black Vauxhall Cavalier and drove away from her house to dispose of the grass cuttings.
Marjorie Arnold
At around 6:30 p.m. on April 18, 1987, Marjorie Arnold was out walking her dog, a German Shepherd, at Taplow Lake in Amerden Lane, Buckinghamshire when she noticed that her dog showed an unusual interest in something in the lake. She investigated, saw a pair of hands with beautifully manicured nails and found Shani’s body submerged in the lake.
Shani’s body was lying face-down in the water. She was gagged by a piece of cloth.
Also, Shani had bruising to her neck and pin prick-sized bleeds to her face, eyes and scalp. her hands were tied together a yellow tow-rope and her ankles were tied up with a red jump lead and
A lorry driver later spotted Shani’s black Vauxhall Cavalier parked in a lay-by on the A4. Some of her belongings were found in the undergrowth by the car, which was left unlocked.
One of the car’s doors was slightly open and the driver’s seat was in a reclined position. Shani’s credit card wallet containing her check guarantee card was found nearby.
A cigarette lighter belonging to Shani was found on the front passenger seat. Her wristwatch was in the front passenger footwell and an unwritten notelet and an envelope addressed to “Sir Roger” were in the footwell of the rear nearside passenger seat.
Donald Robertson
Donald Robertson, 66, is a former resident of Slough, Berkshire, England. He is accused of kidnapping and raping a girl, then 16, in Farnham Lane, Slough on July 16, 1981 and sexually assaulting and killing Warren on April 17, 1987.
In June 2021, Robertson was arrested and interviewed about the two victims. Deoxyribonucleic acid tests matched semen from a mouth gag found on Warren and from the pants of the other victim with his profile.
In October 2021, Robertson was charged for the murder of Warren and with false imprisonment and indecent assault. On May 17, 2022, he was convicted at court of the murder, indecent assault and false imprisonment of Warren and of the kidnap and rape of the other victim.
