Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 Michelle Colón, 21, of Loíza, Puerto Rico will crown her successor on August 11, 2022. It is the 66th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe candidate.
Currently, Puerto Rico has five Miss Universe crowns. Representing the unincorporated territory of the United States, Marisol Malaret, Deborah Carthy-Deu, Dayanara Torres, Denise Quiñones and Zuleyka Rivera won the title in 1970, 1985, 1993, 2001 and 2006, respectively.
Representing Loiza, Colón was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 at Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 30, 2021. Representing Puerto Rico, she finished in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel.
There are 29 women competing for the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 title. After watching the preliminary competition, I picked the candidates who believe will make it to the Top 6:
