13 Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 candidates competing in Yverdon-les-Bains, Vaud

Dijana Cvijetić, then 23, of Gossau, Switzerland was appointed Miss Universe Switzerland 2016 on October 30, 2016 by Veeranda Aeberli, the then holder of Switzerland’s Miss Universe franchise. On March 10, 2018, Jastina Doreen Riederer competed against 10 other Miss Schweiz 2018 candidates at the Trafohalle Baden in Baden, Aargau, Switzerland and won the title.

From 2019 to 2021, Riederer was not able to crown her successor. In 2022, Bernard Poffet became the new Miss Universe Switzerland national director.

Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 contestants

The Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 coronation ceremony will take place at La Marive in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland on September 2, 2022. It is the third edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Switzerland’s Miss Universe candidate and the first edition under Poffet’s directorship.

There are 13 women competing for the Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 crown. Here are the candidates:

Switzerland was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Schweiz in 1953, from 1960 to 1990, from 1992 to 2013 and in 2018, the winner of Miss Universe Switzerland in 2014 and an appointed candidate in 2016. Currently, the European country has 12 placements in the international beauty pageant including the third runner-up finish of Lolita Morena in 1983 and the second runner-up finish of Lauriane Gilleron in 2006.

Representing Switzerland, Cvijetić competed against 85 other Miss Universe 2016 candidates in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017 and Riederer competed against 93 other Miss Universe 2018 candidates at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand on December 17, 2018. They were both unplaced.
