2. She was born and raised in Saqqez, Kurdistan, Iran.
3. Her uncle Safa Aeli is also a resident of Saqqez. 
4. She is Amjad Amini‘s daughter.
5. She has a brother named Kiaresh Amini.
6. She had no pre-existing heart condition, according to her family.
7. On September 13, 2022, she was arrested for non-compliance of her hijab with government standards at the entry of Shahid Haghani Expressway in Tehran, Iran by the Gasht-e Ershad, the guidance patrol or Islamic religious police in the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran. She resisted the insults and curses of the officers who arrested her so she was severely beaten in jail, according to the women who were detained with her. However, authorities claimed that she suffered a heart attack and fell into a coma after her arrest.
8. From September 14-15, 2022, she was in a coma in Kasra Hospital in Tehran.
9. On September 16, 2022, she died of skull fracture caused by severe trauma in the intensive care unit of Kasra Hospital. She was 22.
10. From September 19-20, 2022, at least one child, one woman and six men were killed during protests seeking justice for her in Kurdistan and two other Iranian provinces namely Kermanshah and West Azerbaijan. Fereydoun Mahmoudi, one of the men, was killed in her hometown Saqqez.
