Clémence Botino represented Guadeloupe, France in the 90th edition of Miss France. She represented the country in the 70th edition of Miss Universe and the 71st edition of Miss World.
France was supposed to be represented in Miss Universe by Botino in 2020 and Amandine Petit in 2021. They later switched places due to potential date conflicts between those pageants and Miss France 2022.

Botino is a French historian, model and beauty queen. She is passionate about fashion, music and culture and she enjoys playing the piano and dancing salsa.
Upon winning Miss France 2020, Botino received racist comments online due to the color of her skin. She later joined Les Bonnes Fées, a French nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women with cancer.
