Trịnh Văn Bảo represented Vietnam at Mister International 2018 and competed against 38 other candidates at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 24, 2019. He won the title.
Runner-up to Trinh was Francesco Piscitelli of Venezuela. The second runner-up was Waikin Kwan of Hong Kong, China.
Born in Hai Phong, Vietnam, Trinh is a model and a bodybuilder. In 2018, he decided to quit his job as a gym trainer in Hai Phong to pursue a career in modeling in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Trinh was not able to crown his successor in 2020 and 2021. On October 30, 2022, he will crown his successor at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, which marks the 14th edition of the international male beauty pageant based in Singapore.

Alan Sim founded Mister International. Held on October 7, 2006, the first edition was won by Wissam Hanna of Lebanon.
On October 12, 2022, Sim passed away. Pradit Pradinunt is expected to take over as the new leader of the Mister International organization.
Mister International 2022 marks the second time the international beauty pageant was held in the Philippines. The first one was on November 30, 2015 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila where Pedro Mendes of Switzerland won the title.
