Cain Ramirez Velasquez is a professional wrestler and a retired mixed martial artist who is 6’1″ tall. He was born in Salinas, California, United States to Mexican parents Efrain Velasquez and Isabel Velasquez and raised in Yuma, Arizona, USA.

When Cain was a senior at Kofa High School in Yuma, he served as captain of both his wrestling and football teams. He has a brother named Efrain Velasquez Jr. and a sister named Adela Velasquez.


From April 19, 2008 to February 17, 2019, Cain competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was the UFC Heavyweight Champion from October 23, 2010 to November 12, 2011 and from December 29, 2012 to June 13, 2015.

  13. On February 28, 2022, he was arrested, booked into the Santa Clara County jail in San Jose and charged with attempted murder. He was accused of shooting at Harry Eugene Goularte, then 43, in Morgan Hill, California. His son, then 4, was allegedly molested by Goularte multiple times from 2021 to 2022. On March 7, 2022, he was denied bail. He was 40 years old when he was granted $1 million bail on November 8, 2022.
