Eric Ronald Holder Jr. is a black man from California, United States. Here are 10 more things about him:

  1. As a child, he suffered physical abuse and poverty, according to his lawyer Aaron Jansen.
  2. As he reached adulthood, he suffered a terrible descent into mental illness that led to years of torment and struggle with issues including agonizing auditory hallucinations that resisted all attempts at treatment, according to Jansen.
  3. Growing up in Crenshaw, Los Angeles County, California, he and Airmiess Joseph Asghedom aspired to become rappers.
  4. Both he and Asghedom were members of the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips gang. In December 2005, Asghedom independently released his first mixtape “Slauson Boy Volume 1” and became known as Nipsey Hussle.
  5. On March 31, 2019, he asked Bryannita Nicholson to drive him to Hussle’s Marathon Clothing store in Crenshaw where he allegedly fatally shot Hussle and injured two bystanders.
  6. On April 2, 2019, Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested him in Bellflower, Los Angeles County.
  7. On May 9, 2019, a grand jury indicted him on one count of murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
  8. On July 6, 2022, a jury in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County found him guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
  9. On February 22, 2023, Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke II sentenced him to 25 years to life for the murder of Hussle, 25 more for a firearm sentencing enhancement and 10 for assault with a firearm. 
  10. He was 33 years old when he was sentenced on February 22, 2023 to 60 years to life in prison.
