Kyle Michael Reinbolt, 24, of Bascom, Seneca County, Ohio, United States is a police officer in Fostoria, Ohio. On February 21, 2023, he attended the regular city council meeting of Fostoria.
During the meeting, Fostoria police chief Gabe Wedge, 46, announced that Reinbolt was the Fostoria Police Division‘sOfficer of the Year for 2022. Reinbolt was honored before Fostoria mayor Eric Keckler, 61.
In 1998, the U.S. Department of Justice‘s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention created the Internet Crimes Against Children task force program, which is a network of 61 coordinated task forces. Since the program’s inception, it has reviewed more than 1,452,040 reports of online child exploitation that resulted in the arrest of more than 123,790 suspects.
In May 2022, the Fostoria Police Division started conducting special covert operations as part of the ICAC program. Reinbolt led all of the investigations.
During the operations, Reinbolt contacted suspects online. He posed as a child, who was sought out by the suspects to engage in sexual conduct, and arrested and charged 15 suspects.
