On August 13, 2013, Franklin County’s coroner ruled her death a homicide. On August 25, 2013, he spoke in front of around 250 people at her funeral at Fairfield Senior High School on Holden Boulevard in Fairfield.
  10. On February 17, 2023, search warrants were executed at his former residence in Fairfield. On the same day, Palmerton was arrested and charged with perjury in connection with her death.
