Arijana Podgajski of Krapina, Croatia won Miss Universe Croatia 2022 at the Emerald Ballroom of Esplanade Zagreb Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia on May 23, 2022. She competed against 12 other candidates.
Runner-up to Podgajski was Klaudija Krezic of Sesvetski Kraljevec. The second runner-up was Veronika Ðerek of Kloštar Ivanic.
On January 14, 2023, Podgajski represented Croatia at Miss Universe 2022 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She was unplaced while Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua won the title.
Miss Universe Croatia 2023
On May 3, 2023, Podgajski will go back to the Emerald Ballroom of Esplanade Zagreb Hotel to crown her successor. It is the 27th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Croatia’s Miss Universe candidate.

Zoran Milanović is the incumbent president of Croatia. Born in Zagreb, he assumed office on February 19, 2020 and he turned 56 on October 30, 2022.
Croatia currently has four Miss Universe placements. The European country reached the Top 15 in 2009 via Sarah Ćosić, the Top 16 in 2012 and 2017 via Elizabeta Burg and Shanaelle Petty, respectively, and the Top 20 in 2019 via Mia Rkman.
Born in Vrbanja, Croatia, Burg turned 29 on October 1, 2022. Born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany to an African American father and a Croatian mother, Petty turned 25 on February 28, 2023.
