The Miss Illinois USA 2023 coronation night will take place at the Braden Auditorium of Illinois State University in Normal, McLean County, Illinois, United States on May 28, 2023. It is the 72nd edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects Illinois’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.
Currently, Illinois has 31 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Myrna Hansen in 1953, Marite Ozers in 1963, Amanda Jones in 1973 and Karen Morrison in 1974. The most recent was in 2022 when Angel Reyes was fourth runner-up.
Representing Hermosa, Reyes was crowned Miss Illinois USA 2022 at the Braden Auditorium of Illinois State University on May 30, 2022. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Abby Foster of East Central, Rachel Hodson of Normal, Catherine Kennebeck of Deer Park and Miranda Fenzau of Orland Park.
